For as long as I can remember, I’ve been the family historian. I brought a camera to birthdays, holidays, weddings, and every gathering in between. I loved capturing the laughs around the table, kids running through the house, and quiet moments people did not notice at the time. Years later, those photos hold the memories people return to.

 

Now everyone carries a camera in their phone. Photos happen all the time, but many moments pass too fast.

 

I like to slow things down and create space for something real.

When you come to a session with me, I step into YOUR world for a while. I might ask us to put our phones away so we can focus on the moment. We start simple. Maybe a coffee, so we can have a few minutes to talk. Most people arrive a little nervous. That fades once we settle in.

I love hearing people’s stories. How did you meet your partner? What makes your kids laugh the hardest? Are these photos for a dating profile? Sweet! Let’s take photos that show your personality and help someone see who you are.

The photos I love most are the unexpected ones. The laugh that slips out. The look between two people who know each other well. The goofy moment no one planned.
